Yesterday I Googled my theory’s name and found an AI summary (above) that filed Animaception under artificial intelligence. Which tells us more about AI than my theory. Anima means soul, -ception means grasping – the name is human to the core. The AI didn’t read the roots of the words, it followed the modern associations and guessed “tech.”
Animaception is a theory about human psychology. Most theories of the mind treat emotion as noise – the thing that gets in the way of clear thinking. Animaception argues the opposite: emotion is the weighting system. It’s how the mind decides what matters. Every piece of information we take in gets tagged for importance, urgency, and threat before we consciously reason about any of it, and that tagging is emotional. Cultivate your emotional responses and you’re not just “managing feelings” – you’re reshaping perception, priority, and the decisions that follow.
